Albrecht Free Clinic Board and Staff thank Washington County for the success of their 2nd annual “Rummage ‘Cuz We Care”
Whether you contributed by donating your rummage treasurers, purchased raffle tickets, enjoyed shopping or offered your time – we are so grateful. The Albrecht Free Clinic’s 2nd annual rummage/food/raffle event pulled itself together with approximately 420 volunteers donating just over 3,000 hours and an amazing outcome of almost 3,300 shoppers walking through the doors the day of the event. Once again we filled almost 8 semi-trailers worth of donated items. We are honored to announce that we made almost $10,000 more than last year with a profit of $34,800. Due to the outpouring community donors, all dollars raised will be allocated directly towards patient care services.
As Dr. Albrecht’s book indicates, The Life and Times of a Country Doctor, his office ran like clockwork. This event truly modeled his practice. In addition, Dr. Albrecht was known for trading his medical services for a dozen eggs or help with chores around his home. Mostly, donating his expertise, his time, and his services. He was committed to ensuring the health and vitality of the whole community. It is a delight to see his desire to help others is still alive today by our neighbors and friends. Once again, Washington County came through and supported the Albrecht Free Clinic’s mission of serving our local uninsured residents. When times are difficult for so many, it shows that there is still hope for agencies like ours who need to lean on others for support. This entire county deserves recognition for contributing to our event.
A special thank you to the Westbury Bank’s employees who participated in the “Day of Community Service”. Almost 100 staff donated their time, on their day off, to assist us the first day of set-up. They entered an empty hall and within hours truly transformed the room after unloading 6 semi-trailers worth of collections. These helping hands most-definitely jumpstarted our week of success. Thank you again for your efforts.
Additional thank you to the following financial sponsors, raffle donors and group support: Aurora Health Care, Westbury Bank, West Bend Mutual Insurance Company, West Bend Community Foundation, Kieckhafer/Dietzler/Hauser, LLP, Froedtert Health Medical Group, Froedtert Health – St. Joseph’s Hospital, Kreilkamp Trucking Inc, Chief Ken & Sue Mueler, Weseman Creations, National Exchange Bank and Trust, M & I Bank, Sign Works, Nova Services, West Bend High Schools, Slinger High Schools, West Bend Police Department, Sweet Creations, Equipment Rental, West Bend & Hartford Radio Stations, Bergmann Appliances, Keith’s Marina, West Bend Vacuum, Lighthouse Lanes Entertainment Center, The Bog, In Excelsis Day Spa & Paradise Valley Spa & Fitness, Mountain Outfitters, Americraft, Michelle’s Beauty Boutique, Photography by John, Kettle Moraine YMCA, Hampton Inn and Suites, Jacci & Sons Hair Salon, Pleasant Valley Tennis & Fitness Club, Curves, Home Depot, Kilian Management Services, Spirits on Main, Nancie & Robert Heaps, Robin & Jayne Reis, Jacci Gambucci, Kevin Steiner, Bob & Sheree Gibson, and Lisa Just.
